Digging for treasure at the excavation site is another way to make some extra money. Catch Carter between 9:00am and 5:00pm to start digging. Go over each square a few times to find some treasure. At the end of each digging day Carter will look over what you've found. He'll swipe anything that he thinks is valuable and leave you with the rest. You can either sell your treasure to Van, sell it yourself, or give it away. Muffy really likes shiny things.

Repeat the trick to get up to 99 Ruby Spice, but don't create any more than 99. If you do you'll end up not being able to use all your bottles, and won't be able to continue living your Wonderful Life.

• Easy Money

This cheat only works when you have a kitchen. make friends with ruby at the inn.you can usually find her at the inn in the morning. after a while, if you go into the kitchen at the inn, she'll ask you if you like to cook. say yes. she'll give you ruby spice. then go to your house and go to the the kitchen like you were going to make a recipe. at the ingredient menu, select the spice and put it in the first slot. the press start to exit the menu. put the spice into your bag then look at your inventory. you should have another spice. keep doing this until you have 99. then sell 98 of them to van(you need one to do it again)you'll make 9800 for them. Then the boys will start to talk about how much they miss Nami and Carter will say he saw her a couple of minutes ago or something like that. Then the boys will go outside to see her, a question will appear and ask if you want to go and see her your not.( Note you need to go out to see her if you want her to stay in town well that's what I think.) The boys will be all around her if you go out to see her. Then she'll be happy to see everybody and when the boys leave Nami will ask you a question say for her to stay for as long as she wants. • How to Make Hybrid Seeds

After the second year, visit Takakura when he is inside his house between 5:00 pm to 10:00pm to meet Tartan. Tartan is a two headed plant that will make hybrid seeds for you. Give him two different seeds and he'll mix them together to make a new hybrid crop. After this stage you can again mix crops that have already been mixed to make a second generation hybrid crop. • Make More Money From Chickens!

Have Takakura order you a male and female chicken. Some of her eggs she lays are fertilized. INSETAD of selling them, put them in the Incubacator located in the chicken coop. It will take a few days for the chick to hatch, then wait until they are full grown for this next step. Have Takakura sell them for around 450g instead of the 40g some you would have gotten for the egg itself. Note: Chickens don't lay fertilized eggs everyday, and you have to be patient to make money this way. Have fun! Submitted by Leanna

After a few years of raising cattle you'll have enough money to buy a Milk Processing room. It costs 60,000G, but is worth every piece of gold. The Milking room makes milking so much easier, it's automatic! • Move your livestock easily

To move your cows, sheep, and goat very easily while they are outside, stand behind them, with the camera behind you. Press A when it says 'Push.' Push forward with the left analog stick, and steer with the right analog stick.
Also, if you are trying to get the animal to the water tub to wash it, and they are on the opposite side of the field, go to the button on the barn and 'Call all animals outside.' The animals positions will be reset, and they will be closer to the water tub. Submitted by Caley

• Plant your seed at any time

If you know how to preduce hybrid seeds this should be easy. Find a happy lamp flower (you can find them in the summer) go to tartan (the hybrid plant) and give him the flower together with a seed. If you put in the flower and a tomato seed he will spit it out and say its a normal tomato seed but it's not! You can plant this seed any season you want so if you have a sweet patota and you give it to tartan with a happy lamp flower you won't just be able to plant it in fall but also in winter, summer and spring. • Pushing

If you are having trouble pushing animals to get them where you want them, close to the bath tub for instance, you have to push them from behind. Then you have to push them from the side to aim them, then push from behind again. Submitted by Jonathan

• Quick Cash

If you are having trouble making money, gather up all of your fodder. Fodder sells for 10 gold a piece and one sell of 99 pieces will get you 990 gold.

• Quick rest

Select the 'Diary' option and choose to go to sleep. Save the game when asked, then reset the Gamecube. Load that saved game file to resume just before the time you went to sleep, but fully rested.

• Seed Hybrids

When you start the game you'll have to buy all your seeds from Vesta, Marlin or Celia. Once you raise enough money and Takakura offers it to you, you can buy the Seed Maker for 6,000G using the ledger in the food storage building. When Takakura delivers it he will put it in the tool shed. Use your crops to make seeds from. You can either replant these seeds or sell them for a nice profit.

If you push in the right trigger (on the top of the controller and not 'z') you will whistle for your animals. If you just press it once and you are at your farm, your dog will come to you. Give Celia a flower every day, and buy seeds from her occassionally. Her diary tells you how she likes you--if it's red, she digs you. You can view her diary on her bed. To marry Celia just give her flowers every day and her hearts will raise quickly. When they are at 4 hearts, give her the blue feather, what you receive from the harvest sprites in your first summer. Do the same for Muffy.. Nami is a bit harder. First make the other 2 girls dislike you as much as possible,
then give her lots of stuff from carters excavation site and she likes. Only trick blue flowers that you find in fall, if you don't marry Nami she will leave town, but if you marry her all 3 girls stay.

Plug a controller into socket 1 and another into socket 3 and then press the z button on the controller that's in socket 3. After that, press start. You will have 99 of each tool, 99 of all the records, almost all of the seeds, a bunch of cooked food, and other things. • Befriend Gustafa, Rock and Marlin without marrying them

In Chapter 2 after you get married, return to the valley to befriend the other two (now unavailable) bachelors. Give Gustafa flowers (any kind) and within two or three days he will be your friend. Give Rock flowers (toy flowers or mist moon flowers), any of the old coins from the dig site, or statues. Within three or four days he will be your friend. Give Marlin crops that you grew. He will take any of them, but will become your friend quicker with 'A' crops or higher; also buy seeds from him and he will be your friend within three to five days.

• BIG BUCKS

Plug in one controller in socket one, then plug in another controller in socket 3. then during gameplay press the Start button as many times as you like.(Make sure your not paused or in your Rucksack.) Then once done pressing the start button look in your inventory (Rucksack) and you will have BIG BUCKS!(alot of money!!) With out having to get all the items and having to sell it. In any chapter, if you have five or six chickens in your chicken coop, talk to Takakura. He will say 'My, you are getting a lot of chickens, I can make you a chicken fence.' You can then order a chicken fence from the Order Form in the Food Storage for 10,000 G.

In Chapter 2, Van will sell a goat, medicine, toys, and dresses. One of the first dresses is Moomoo Summer and Loves Bears.

• Getting married

There are three people you can marry. Rock lives at the Inner Inn and is 22 years old. Gustfa lives in the yurt by the ocean and is 28 years old. Marlin lives on Vesta's farm and is 32 years old. Additionally, if you want to marry Marlin give him crops, cook, talk, and buy stuff from him. If you show him the feather he will say 'What's this?'. On Spring 1 of the second year he will come to your house and propose to you. Your child will have blue clothes, black hair, and will be happy and outgoing; your husband Marlin will give you crops tips. If you refuse his proposal the game will end.

• Grade A Milk

Wait until your cow is asleep (both a.m. and p.m.) and push the cow's head so that it will wake up and turn around. Go to the dispenser and take out one Fodder and feed it to the cow. When the cow is finished, milk it with your hands to get four Grade A Milk bottles. They sell for 115 G each, while B Milk sells for only 75 G each.

• Gustafa

Gustafa likes statues and moon ores; they are found in the ruin. Do not give him fossils or any flowers. Gustafa also likes milk, human statues, and any kind of flowers. Gustafa's diary is on the couch. He wakes up at 10:00.
Once your relationship begins heating up he will sing a song he has been working on for you. You will hear two parts. The first one is held at the tree by his yurt; the second one is by the waterfall. If you propose to him and he accepts he will sing you the entire song.
To get Gustafa to love you (which takes awhile), go to his house everyday at 10:00 a.m. Give him flowers and talk to him for awhile. Keep doing this and he will write a love song for you and give you a flower. Do not give up on him -- he is the best one.

• Heart events for Rock

The first heart event is triggered by walking outside the Inner Inn when Lumina is outside. The second event is triggered by walking outside of your home at about 4:00 p.m. The third event is triggered by walking to the corner of the Inner Inn (the side with the kiln). It is triggered easiest by leaving the Inner Inn, then walking left until you get to the corner.

• Intermission sequences

In Need of a Friend Part 1: Triggered by attempting to leave the farm. When you walk out of your farm's property, you will see Muffy standing on the bridge. She will look sad and you will walk over to her. She will say hello and then asks if she can talk to you, woman to woman. You will automatically nod and she will start telling a story about her ex-boyfriend in the city. After she is done, she will thank you for listening and hopes she can call on you when she needs you again.
Turtle races: Triggered by exiting Gustafa's hut on a sunny day (possibly only in the fall). When you come out of Gustafa's hut, you will see Nina, the older lady, talking to the giant turtle near Turtle Swamp. She will say 'A turtle vs. a human?! Hahaha!', then the race will start. Nina, although she is old, can race a turtle quite well and wins.
Blue Feather Proposal with Gustafa: Triggered when Gustafa has four red hearts in his diary and you give him the Blue Feather. Gustafa will ask if he can have the Blue Feather when you offer it to him. The screen will turn black and return. Both of you will be at Gustafa's Yurt. Gustafa will say that he has heard about these Blue Feathers but has not actually seen one before. He thinks he understands what they are for though. He will take it and says, 'Thank you. I feel kind of strange..'. He then says that he would like to keep his Yurt up where it stands so that he can visit his instruments anytime, but you are welcome to come and see him when he is there. (Note: Gustafa does live with you on the farm, but he will venture out to his Yurt on occasion; do not be alarmed if he is not home all of the time) He will then say he has a gift for you. He will tell you that he has been writing a song for you and that he has just finished it today, and wants to know if you will listen to it. You should say yes because he will tell you how he feels about you in the song.

• Mariln

Marlin likes certain types of flowers (experiment with them), curries, and soups. Marlin's diary is in the bushy plants in the house. He wakes up at 6:00.
It may seem like Marlin is just a grumpy person but that is just his way of hiding his shyness. Because Marlin worked on Vesta's farm, it will probably have an influence on your son's interests when he grows up.

• Marrying and have LOTS of money

You must have 2 controllers for this to work.
Put 1 controller in slot 3, and 1 in slot 1. Then, press Z and Start to get 10k and a bunch of tools, food, seeds, ect. Sell Van 98 of ALL the tools, and other things u dont need( but keep in mind on what ur boyfriend likes, and DO NOT sell that stuff.) But now, u should have a lot of money. I bought the buildings. If u have the blue feather and DO NOT want to marry Rock, DO NOT press the buttons agains. After you have married the man of your dreams, you can press the buttons again.
Marrying

Raccoon: Befriend Vesta, but you must first get the Strange Hoe from her. Later you will get an intermission sequence where Vesta tells you that you have been doing a good job. She will give you the raccoon. Note: It can only be obtained in Chapter 1.
Small bird: Befriend everyone in town and get every intermission sequence. You will eventually get the bird.
